I don't know how I keep on doing that, but alas it has happened. This year I turned 31.
31!?!?!
Wow, it's hard for me to believe even when I say it out loud.
I'm not gonna lie, I thought this would be a rough birthday for me. Turning 31 with no baby in sight is, well, depressing. Instead of focusing on the one thing I didn't have, I decided to be grateful for all the things I did have.
This year turned out to be one of the best birthdays ever!
Free Firehouse Sub on your birthday. Heck yes!!!
We were running a little behind at this point because we had a movie to catch. ( Harkins gives free popcorn on your birthday) So I decided to wrap up the rest of my heaven sent sandwich and eat it in the theater. Home girl is a slow eater.
On the way, as we were getting off the freeway there was a homeless women asking for money. I decided to give her the rest of my untouched delicious sandwich. As much as I freakin love that sandwich, and I do, it was a humbling reminder to once again be grateful for all the things that I do have. It really is true, charity never faileth. I've actually been praying for more chances to serve, so I don't think running into this sweet lady who was beyond grateful was a coincidence. Plus everyone deserves to partake in the deliciousness that is a Firehouse sub :)
Okay, LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY. Go to The Keg website, and sign up for birthday emails. You get $25 on your birthday month for a steak dinner.
