Operation J's Crib
All I think about all day long and even into the wee hours of the morning when it's way past my bed time and I should be sleeping is... our new townhouse. The countdown has begun and we get the keys on Friday. FRIDAY!! EEK! To say I'm excited is an understatement. All I do lately is go on Pinterest to get ideas on how to decorate. I'm obsessed with how everything will look.
We are spending Christmas in Cali and then mom and dad Herbert will basically follow us back home so we can begin Operation J's Crib (OJC). That's what I have decided to call it by the way. The appliance have been ordered but we need to pick out the paint and order the carpet. I am so grateful mom Herbert has given me free range on matters concerning OJC. We will have a month and a half to spruce up the crib before we move in, which is plenty of time. I think going on Pinterest makes me a little depressed though because no matter how "cheap" a project is suppose to be, it still cost money, and all those little projects start adding up before you know it. I think our main goal before we move in is carpet, paint, tile for bathrooms, and blinds for all the windows. And hey that's enough for me! All the other little details can be done a little here and a little there along the way. But for now I will most likely continue to swoon over Pinterest. And dream.

So exciting!! I can't wait to see what you do with the place but yes I think one thing at a time makes it easier to swallow!
ReplyDeleteYes! Pace yourself girl! When we bought our first house I had all these plans and ideas. My taste changed as time goes on - and realizing the functionality of it all. So just enjoy the ride and do things over a stretch of time. Your house/decor will ALWAYS be evolving. And as far as frugal makeovers go - spray paint and Goodwill will become your two new best friends :)
