My Sweet and Saucy Shop

Words can not describe how happy I was this day!
Here is how it all went down

We drove down to Long Beach Wednesday morning, it never occurred to me to check the actual open time of the shop, eh.. oh well.  As soon as I saw the sign I got all nervous and excited at the same time.
The shop looked empty but all the lights were on, so I tried the door, it was open! We walked in, nothing was set up and then we were greeted by a lovely woman who I immediately recognized as the owners mother

(I felt like a stalker many times during my visit because I recognized everyone and knew who they were and most of their names. HOWEVER, to my defense, the owner talks freely about her staff and family and posts many photos. Sooo... I am totally justified right?? RIGHT?!!)

The woman politely informed us that they were not yet open, the doors were just unlocked to let in deliveries.  I felt so foolish. But alas, it was 10:30 and they opened at 11! Phew..... that's not too bad!
And then that's when it happened,  that's when the owner, Melody Brandon walked in. I was so shocked and a little star struck. (to me she is a celebrity) She was so nice and just as sweet as can be. I professed my love to her and how I had been stalking following her work and blog since 2008.... it was not weird at all.....nope......not.at.all ;)

She was such a good sport.

We chatted about life and then she let me take a photo. She directed us to some cool shops where we could waist time until 11 and she kept thanking ME for loving her work and being so sweet!

We waited til about 11:30 to return as to not appear too desperate. Too late?? Maybe :)
They greeted us and were so friendly. I wanted to try everything they had! I stuck to just four different flavors

each one was HEAVENLY!!
(Sprinkles cupcakes SUCK! Oops...did I say that?!)

It was such a fun experience for  me and I am so grateful that my husband indulges me in all my craziness
